The Reid Project is based in the University of Aberdeen;
its aims are to stimulate, coordinate and support interest in
Thomas Reid and the philosophy of common sense, their place
within the history of philosophy, and their relevance to
contemporary philosophical discussion; to foster the study of the
Thomas Reid papers held in the University of Aberdeen Special
Collections; to investigate the existence of an "Aberdeen
School," and to trace its relationship with other traditions in
Scotland, Britain, Europe, and America. The site provides useful
information on the Project activities and on Reid Studies,
the journal devoted to Reid and Scottish philosophy of the
Enlightenment.
